Privacy Policy

What data we process, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. This page distinguishes the marketing website from the Essuivi platform.

Last updated: [[TO COMPLETE: update date]]

1. Who processes your data

The controller of the data collected on this website is [[TO COMPLETE: company name]], [[TO COMPLETE: registered office address]].

For any question about your data: [[TO COMPLETE: dedicated personal data email address]].

Data Protection Officer (DPO): [[TO COMPLETE: DPO name and contact details, or delete this line if no DPO has been appointed]].

2. Scope: the website and the platform

Essuivi acts in two different roles, depending on where the data comes from:

  • Marketing website (this website): for visitor data, Essuivi is the data controller. This is the main subject of this page.
  • Essuivi platform: for the data our customers enter in the software (their own customers, employees, jobs, quotes, invoices), Essuivi acts as a processor. The customer remains the controller of this data. Its processing is governed by the contract and the data processing agreement (DPA) signed with each customer, not by this page.

3. Data collected on the website

The website contains no forms: demo and contact requests are made by email, via a link that opens your email client.

The only data we receive is therefore what you choose to write to us:

  • Your email address and, where applicable, your name, company, phone number and the content of your message.
  • Technical connection data (IP address, browser) processed by the website host for its operation and security.
  • Technical data sent to the providers of external resources loaded by the pages (Google Fonts, libraries served by unpkg): your IP address is disclosed to them when these resources load. [[TO CHECK: keep these external resources or host them locally before going live]]

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process this data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your demo or contact request: pre-contractual measures taken at your request, or legitimate interest in responding to inquiries.
  • Ensuring the operation and security of the website: the publisher's legitimate interest.
  • No marketing outreach is carried out without your prior agreement where such agreement is required (consent).

5. Retention periods

Data is retained for the period necessary for its purpose:

  • Exchanges related to a demo or contact request: [[TO COMPLETE: period, for example 3 years after the last contact for a prospect]]
  • Host's technical logs: [[TO COMPLETE: period]]

6. Recipients and processors

Your data is intended solely for authorized Essuivi personnel. It is disclosed to third parties only when necessary for the service or required by law.

Our processors:

  • Website hosting: [[TO COMPLETE: host name]]
  • Email: [[TO COMPLETE: email provider]]
  • Other sub-processors: [[TO COMPLETE: list, or “none”]]
  • Commitment not to resell data: [[TO CHECK: to be confirmed by the client before publication]]

7. Data hosting and location

Hosting country for website data: [[TO COMPLETE: country]]

Hosting country for platform data: [[TO COMPLETE: country]]

The website displays the statement “EU hosting”. [[TO CHECK: confirm that all data (website, platform, backups, email) is hosted in the European Union; otherwise correct the statement on the website and specify here the safeguards governing transfers outside the EU]]

8. Cookies and analytics

As of the date this page was last updated, the website sets no cookies and uses no trackers: no analytics tool, advertising pixel, iframe or third-party widget.

The only external resources loaded are Google Fonts and libraries served by unpkg; they receive your IP address when loading, but the website does not have them set any cookies. No consent banner is therefore required. If an analytics tool or a non-essential cookie is added, this section will be updated and your consent will be obtained beforehand where required by law.

9. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the following rights over your data:

  • Right of access and rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to object
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to set instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death

Exercising your rights

Write to [[TO COMPLETE: dedicated personal data email address]] or by post to [[TO COMPLETE: postal address]]. You will receive a response within one month, which may be extended by two months if the request is complex.

For data entered in the platform by an Essuivi customer, send your request to that customer, as the data controller: we will assist them in responding.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés), the French data protection authority: www.cnil.fr.

10. Data security

Essuivi implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorized access or disclosure.

Details of measures: [[TO CHECK: measures actually in place — encryption, backups, access control, any certifications — to be described only if confirmed]]

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, the platform or regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
